Overview Classroom parents are volunteers who work in conjunction with the Booster Club, other parents in their homeroom as well as the other grade level classroom parents to support their teacher(s). Responsibilities vary by grade and typically include coordinating gifts, organizing class events and parties, and sharing information about school events and volunteer opportunities with the other parents in the class.

Grade Level Coordination As every grade level is different, the classroom parents will be responsible for contacting your teacher (or teacher lead) to determine how you can best support them. The Booster Club Board requested a list of personal preferences as well as classroom specific events from each of the teachers to help determine the best gifts to provide for their birthday and other holidays or events such as teacher appreciation (for instance, their favorite stores, foods, drinks, restaurants, color, plants/flowers, activities as well as identify any dislikes or allergies). These lists will be shared with the classroom parents.

Stocking the Lounge The classroom parents will also be responsible for stocking the lounge one month out of the year. The classroom parents decide when and what to include when stocking the lounge with various drinks and snacks. Below is the grade level schedule for the 2023-2024 school year.

Collection of Funds New for the 2023-2024 school year, all funds for classroom parents to use toward these endeavors should be collected through the Booster Club via the Grade Level donations on the Donation Opportunities Form. The classroom parents will be provided with a budget by classroom for the year and all receipts for purchase should be submitted through the Expense Reimbursement Form for reimbursement by the Booster Club treasurers. As we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, you should share the Tax Exempt Form (linked below) when making purchases to avoid paying sales tax. All expenses should be submitted for reimbursement by May 1st to ensure they are processed prior to our fiscal year end. For additional questions regarding fund collection and distribution, please contact treasurer@bcebooster.org.
